DECEMBER 2025 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello Newcomers, “Let me show you some pictures of my friend’s car. She’s a real beauty! He lets me drive it, so I get all of the benefits without having to actually own it. Then I get to drop it off at his house, where he tucks it into bed in the garage.” Sound familiar? For many of you it should. Substitute the car scenario for your grandchildren. Ah, now you see! I’ve been introduced to many of our members grandchildren via photos and stories. Braggers! … Well now Debbie & I are lucky enough to become ma-ma and paw-paw to a baby girl in January. I couldn’t quite understand how you all felt until this past weekend at the baby shower where my daughter-in-law looked like she stuffed a watermelon under her shirt and was talking about the baby kicking and moving. When I look at the big oak trees in the backyard, I think about building a fort. Looking at our RV, I’m thinking of the camping we can do. Watching football on TV reminds me that she has to be raised a 49ers fan. I’m starting to get it. Why you grandparents are so overjoyed. Who wouldn’t be? Can’t wait to show you the pics…. CHEERS!
