Welcome to August!

For those of you experiencing your first summer in North County—be prepared!

This is when it starts to get hot and easily reaches 100+ degrees. Do your chores early, before the heat starts to rise, then make your way indoors. Speaking of staying cool indoors, it’s the perfect time to connect with some of our great interest groups. If you've been wanting to make some new friends while beating the heat, consider joining us for a round with our Poker or Canasta card groups, or cooling off at our next Scrabble Night. Some groups fill fast, so don't be shy about raising your hand to start a new group! Prefer to practice a language? Join our Italian or Spanish conversation groups! Or, if you're looking for built-in ways to mingle over a great glass of wine (in the cool air conditioning), keep an eye on the calendar for our upcoming Wine Tasting Events and Wine Adventures.

Walking into a room where you don't know everyone can be intimidating, but remember that everyone in our club was the "newcomer" once.
